Our Story
How We Began:
Texas Chihuahua Rescue started in 2015 on a wing and a prayer, with 22 dogs, a handful of fosters and a lot of hope. The rescue grew so quickly that by 2017 we were already starting to look into purchasing property for our once little rescue to continue growing. Just thirty minutes south of down town San Antonio, we found 5 acres covered in gorgeous oak trees in a fabulous little town called Pleasanton.
Texas Chihuahua Rescue is blessed to have staff and volunteers at the property 24 hours a day. Each and every dog that comes through our gates, gets fully vetted before adoption. If you would like to know more, follow us on Facebook and Instagram.
